Ive been having weird chills or my body shakes or jerks throughout the day. Blurry vision. Head pressure, weird pains in my head. Feels like im asleep but am actually awake. Staring spells. Stiff neck. Confusion. Im on 10mg lexapro daily. But idk if its doing anything. All my anxiety comes from my physical symptoms. Was on zoloft, didnt work. I didnt have these body twiches before starting the ssris. But still have head symptoms. Are these seizures?

How long on Lexapro? I was on 40mg for about 10 years. I am a bigger guy though. About 270. Your body might just need time to adjust.
My doctor ok’d it due to the fact I am bigger. I should say I was on 40 for a year then went back to 20 when I was feeling better for awhile.
You might need to talk to your doctor about going up in dosage. I didn't reach a therapeutic dose until I started taking 15 mg. 10 is a very, very small dose.
Yea i know. I might go up in dose. Why did you get on an antidepressant in the first place? It seems like i was having physical syptoms and ny docs just put me on an ssri.
Anxiety often manifests as physical symptoms. I take ADs for Generalized Anxiety Disorder and major health anxiety. My physical symptoms are extreme nausea, diarrhea, dry heaving/vomiting, tremors, weakness, extreme tiredness, heart palpitations. Being on Lexapro hasn't completely stopped these sensations, but I'm much better equipped to handle them now with a combination of the AD and therapy. If you've never tried therapy, I highly recommend it. Some people try it and don't like their first therapist, so immediately give up. Just like any relationship, some people you click with and some you don't. You have to find one you are completely comfortable opening up to about everything. I went through 4 before I found the right therapist for me and it has been a wonderful help. Also, I recommend you read the book "Hope and Help for Your Nerves" by Claire Weekes. It's an older book, but she speaks in great detail about all the physical manifestations of anxiety and why/how they happen and how to cope when they do happen. Often if I'm feeling a certain symptom, I'll just look it up in her book and reading about it and why it's happening helps it go away or not seem so serious. Hope this advice helps. Keep an open dialogue with your prescribing doctor. They're there to help and want you to feel better. They can't know what you're feeling unless you tell them.
Lexepro and trazadone ( you took that the other night ?) don't mix well apparently? There is a risk of serotonin syndrome
If you think you have too much serotonin I can recommend the herbal capsules feverfew
Feverfew is a serotonin receptor antagonist 95% of serotonin lives in the gut which is where the feverfew will block it
Feverfew is a safe way to counter too much serotonin I take a 100mg capsule everyday I buy mine from Holland&Barrett in UK
See your doc Mike. Sounds like essential tremors or some kind of dyskinesia that could be caused by meds. Of course there's another pill for that! Yes and also physical symptoms associated with anxiety. Good karma Mike!
