My doctor put me on trazadone today? Has any used this med? Any side effects? Im just curious.

What dose did you get. It did work for me but it made me too sleepy the next day.

I ended out cutting the dose way down. But it still did that.

I have a feeling it may have been enhanced effect by some other meds I was on.

I had been on it many years ago with no results.

My brother took 50 mg that helped him

My dose is 25-50mg. I read its not addicting like ambien etc because its an antidepressant not a straight sleep pill.

Might need some tinkering to get the right dose, but I use it nightly. Boy do I sleep and I'm not groggy the next day! If Trazodone doesn't help, there are many other drugs you can try. Be patient friend. Good karma coming your way!

I take 150mg so you are on a pretty low dose.

I tried it but it made me too groggy next day and gave me a splitting headache. But as people have noted here, everyone has different results. Why not give it a try if the doc suggested it?

I did Twice, did nothing for me. Didn't experience any side effects. The second time my doctor prescribed it even though I had already tried it and told her it didn't work before but she still gave it to me, I stopped on my own.

I take trazodone nightly for insomnia. My does is 100 mg. This does is subtherapeutic for depression. The drug gives me dry mouth and somnolence. However, it works for me.
