I’ve been struggling with sleep for nearly 2 years now. Sometimes I can’t get to sleep at all, other times I’ll wake up and go back to sleep, or I’ll even go to sleep and not go back to sleep.
Has anyone got any tips and tricks with sleeping that’s worked for them?

Absolutely as a former power lifter I was injured all the time and was forced to take many supplements to keep gaining strength and help my sleep most pre workout supplements are similar to amphetamines. Magnesium, BCAA’s, CBD (don’t ever buy from a gas station) and don’t eat after 8. Don’t go to gnc just go on Amazon or any online supplement store you’ll save some money.
Hi.👋 I'm sorry about your sleep issues. Unfortunately, I'm familiar with those as well. It really stinks, doesn't it?
Here are some suggestions:
-Develop a "winding down" routine before bed. Your brain will eventually connect these to getting ready for sleep.
-Go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
-Keep the bedroom cooler than the rest of the house (we actually turn the heat off in our bedroom).
-When you sleep, do it in total darkness. Blackout curtains/shades come in handy here. I used to wear a mask (although I can't do that anymore because of my CPAP).
-Keep screen stuff out of the bedroom since blue light tricks the brain into thinking it's daytime.
I also use a calming oil that is very effective at making me completely calm and sleepy. It's by Dr. Hauschka and is called "Moor Lavender Calming Body Oil". I rub it on my neck and behind my ears.
I suggest you take a look at the TED talk by Jim Donovan on tricking your mind to sleep. I was very sceptical, quackery?? try it every night for a week, what have you got to loose?
I am on antidepressants. I sleep better when I take them earlier in the day. I have to take trazidone 50 mgm. to sleep. Puts me to sleep usually within 20 mins. . Even with that, I sleep much better when I get sufficient exercise during the day. Hope that helps.
I know what you’re going through, I’ve gone 2 days without sleeping, it’s almost 2 am and I’m still awake. Have you ever done a Sleep Study? I just did one this Past Monday, I’m sure I have sleep apnea. So see about getting that done hopefully it will be what you Need?
Have you tried the opposite. Instead of sleeping only give yourself a limited time to sleep and see what happens. It may be you don't need as much sleep as you think?
