Dont you hate when you cant help people. I do. It literally kills me. Cause I know I can do something. But its not in my range to help. And that's the worst feeling ever.

Do they want your help? Did they ask?

I'm guessing your new job is in a hospital ( hospitals have Chapels so was wondering ).

Must be difficult for you in a new job. Having to be careful about what you do / don't do.

Was it your boss / senior who told you not to do anything?

Depends what it was too .

Have you been told what is expected of you and what you shouldn't do?

Why didn't the qualified employee help them?

Is this something you could talk to the Chaplain about in confidence if it upset you?

Sometimes it takes others realizing that they need help, want help and also want to do whatever is within their ability to help themselves before reaching out to others for help. I guess it depends upon the type of help you are referring to, but some people simply just want to talk about their problems and don't necessarily need or want help. I've had a few family members like that in the past to deal with, I guess it really depends upon the person and how and what help they will allow you to help with. Good luck!
