Anxiety
In my experience it depends on the person. The most important thing is to listen to what they are saying, do not question or belittle it, and then ask what you can do to help them. If they have a hard time verbalizing what would help them, you could give them a few options like “do you want me to sit here with you quietly?” Or “do you want a hug?” But don’t assume something will comfort them, always ask first. When someone is having an anxiety or panic attack their senses are very heightened and touching or talking may be very upsetting to them, so ask first, and make sure you pay attention to what they are saying. ❤️
There's different ways, and depending on the person? Counseling meditation? Both?
Sometimes it can help to surrender to the anxiety. "Okay, anxiety, do your worst - I'm tired of you and going about my day." When I feel it, I notice it but don't react emotionally. That helps a lot. But I have to admit, the biggest help has been medication.
