I am having trouble understanding your question? Are you having racing thoughts?
I've been there many, many times. You can't Stop it, you have to ride it out. If you try to stop it? It will get Worse, you'll have to be Patient. It will be hard, but it will STOP
I find when my thoughts are racing or I need to escape them I find an online game of scrabble helps, or something else where you need to use your brain. I like scrabble as its a longish game and enough to break the cycle i was in
Not sure if these ideas will work but maybe worth a try
When you have the thoughts could you write them down as they are happening, maybe by writing them down its externalising it from inside your head.
Or
I have a lovely daydream I like to think about instead of what going on in real life, I won the lotto 🤗 I'm in my dream house and life is easier....I don't have anxiety or depression in my daydream....I escape to this daydream whenever I need to distract my brain. You could try it but using something that you really really really like or want. invent a better reality for yourself. If it a really really good daydream your brain should help you into it. The more detail you add to it the more your brain being used to create it and escaping unhelpful thoughts.
I’m sorry I just saw this too, and I agree , yes racing thoughts will do all kinds of unreal thoughts it’s one scenario after another and the” what if’s “ create another story . And I’m not going to make you mad and just say ,”well, think of something else” it takes a lot of work to do that, so start slow and it might not work right away but don’t give up. When this happens walk outside and change your soundings , go for a small walk , even call a friend in that walk , if you can , go for a brisk walk or jog. Working out. Talk with a neighbor , fight those thoughts back because that exactly what they are , thoughts, they make you think they are real and become real in your own mind , so fight to make them go away by trying to change it for good. The mind is powerful and you hold the controllers and can do this . Do you talk to a therapist who may be able to give some input? Prayers for you. Lynl
