Sorry you’re feeling this way. I’m not taking either. Lorazepam and Xanax are the two I’ve tried recently. I don’t the brand name of phenergan but have had experience with diazepam, which always worked for me. Do you know which one your doctor prefers? My thought, for me, if I’ve tried everything I know how to do, and can’t make it go away, I resort to meds. I have a high level of suffering I’m willing to accept, but there’s a limit. There are medicinal purposes for medications, which I’ve learned to embrace when needed. Keep posting and let us know how you’re doing. Lynne

I have just taken some phenergan as it is not addictive to see how I go if it doesn’t work then I will try the diazepam

diazepam should work faster. I'm stressing *should* then you have enough time to sit and see if you need another one or maybe just half

I am not a provider, nurse, I don't even work in a teddy bear hospital.

Put your favorite song on and sing out loud. Go into childs pose. Or lay down flat on your back, arms stretched out to your sides, and legs propped straight up on the wall.

I have had super bad anxiety for the past 3 years. My primary care doctor is a joke. He won't give me anything for it so I have to wait for months to see a psychiatrist. You mentioned phenergans. I am prescribed those for nausea. All they are is a antihistamine that has something about it that helps nausea so that's why my doctor gives me that for the nausea but it makes me extremely drowsy so maybe your Dr thinks that will help your anxiety but I've tried using that for mine and it doesn't slow my heart rate down. It might slow it down a little bit but the minute I think of anything that gives me any kind of stress my heart rate starts flying right back up again and I get sick all over again so really

nothing helps my anxiety good except for benzos.

Benzos are the best. It’s a shame that they are so addictive.

This is the 3rd post I’ve seen about anxiety and Zoloft. I didn’t know that it worked for anxiety. I thought it was an antidepressant. I have Klonipin for anxiety but I only use it as a last resort. I been try strenuous exercise lately with positive results.
