My boyfriend just recently broke up with me over my anxiety and insecurities. I really love him but I pushed him away by constantly worrying and thinking of the worst possible outcomes. I really cared for him and loved him. So now I’m reaching out to someone, anyone really who feels this crushing weight of anxiety like I do. I want to get better for the important people in my life so something like this doesn’t happen again. I just really need help on ways to deal with the anxiety.

You need to take time and learn to love yourself anxiety and all. You can’t love someone if you don’t love you. You can’t give love if you don’t have love for yourself. Giving love without loving and accepting yourself will only perpetuate anxiety, because you are looking externally for validation.
Hello dear am sorry to hear of your breakup. Its so unfortunate things didn’t work out between the two of you. Don’t entirely blame yourself for this. At this point in your life you need to concentrate on friends who understand you and will help you through anxiety. Most of the “what if” in our life prevent us from living and enjoying the moment while we worry about the future concern that may never happen. The past is gone, and we cannot do anything to change it, what you have is now to make it better. When ever you are anxious about something and asking what if the worse happened, as also what if the good happed, and focus on the positive. Do some breathing exercise and focus and try to do something to distract you.
