Hey guys, does anyone feel lightheaded or like their going to pass out and that triggers an anxiety attack? Or is it anxiety that causes that? I had that feeling today while i was eating. Had to stop and recollect myself. I was also around more people today than i usually am for a longer period of time. Maybe it was a gradual increase in anxiety levels? Also i kinda just dazed off alot today without me even being able to control it. Anyone know if this is related to something neurological? I take zoloft and lorazepam as needed currently.

Yes mike I feel like that a lot, and have on and off for many years. It especially happens in stores. Like you tho I wonder what comes first the anxiety or the lightheaded spicy feeling that triggers anxiety. Anxiety has so many different presentations, I always fear I'll chalk something up to anxiety and it's really something to worry about and I've missed it. I have health anxiety and worry about everything 🙁
Hi Mike,
I get the lightheaded feeling as well. Sometimes it makes me feel like I may faint. Sometimes it makes me feel like I’m sinking or my brain is moving but I am not. It ALWAYS triggers my panic. Idk if it’s the anxiety causing the lightheadedness or what. My doctor says it is, I’ve been to the hospital multiple times for it and they always say “it’s not emergent” meaning they cannot do anything about it.
I am having an MRI of my brain on Wednesday. My doctor only ordered it because I basically begged. Lol. I need reassurance that it’s not something more. Although since I have health anxiety, I doubt even this will reassure me.
I too take Ativan as needed. I try not to take it unless I’m having one of those lightheaded spells that are really bad and my panic isn’t subsiding.
How long have you been on Zoloft? Do you like it? I am considering trying it for my anxiety and panic.
I hope you feel better soon!
💜 Ash
I definitely understand your symptoms and mine are similiar. Ive had a CT scan done about a year ago, not recently, and they found nothing wrong. I was on zoloft for almost 2 years a few years back, it worked for everything it should. I felt normal eventually and weaned off. About a year and half went maybe a bit more and i now have similiar symptoms i had that were the reason why i was put on zoloft. Zoloft can have side effects, its an SSRI and they are supposedly suppose to take like 4 weeks to fully kick in. So in the beginning it can make certain things actually worse. The ativan helps greatly with panic attacks and the side effects. But i know benzos are addicting, but if they improve your life and health. I dont see an issue. Let me know how your mri goes, good luck!
I have the same issues, dizziness, tension headaches, depersonalization, it comes and goes, sometimes for weeks on either side, ... and going to stores , being around alot of people, can really kick it in. Medications help some, sometimes nothing helps.
Your not alone, many people here have the same experiences, so don't be afraid to talk it out.
Hope you feel better.
