Scared of aFiB, have the same exact symptoms

Please help, I’m really scared as I googled about this sensation: basically my heart is beating normally, then all of a sudden it turns into a strong THUD, it feels like your left chest exploded? I don’t get it frequently but I’m scared that one day it will become more frequent. I googled about heart thuds and it gave me atrial fibrillation. Did anyone get that sensation before? I get alot of heart palps but that is new to me, just a sudden strong thud in my chest, that leaves me a bit breathless. I have visited multiple doctors in the past yeats as a kid and they all told me I’m fine. What’s scarier is that aFiB is only spotted if a person is getting an ECG done while they’re having the episode of it. These thuds feel like mini explosions, its like a small boom in your chest, get what I mean?

Hi relax as this is common and can be caused by anxiety. You have been told you are fine by experts so try and believe them. x

Perhaps talk to a psychologist and ask for their opinion on whether it is anxiety related or something else

I don’t think you have a fib- I think you have anxiety. Same thing happens to me. And there are other ways to find out if you have a fib - you can wear a 24 hour holster monitor and it will pick up any abnormal heart fluctuations. I hope this helps. Try not to google or web md symptoms as people can find a disease to match almost any symptoms. If you are truly worried ask for a cardiology consult. Hope u feel better. It is scary as hell when it happens
