More anxiety on meds?

Has anyone experienced an increase in anxiety once taking medication? I just recently started taking Prozac about two weeks ago, after struggling with anxiety for most of my childhood and adult life. It seems like the last four days have been higher than normal anxiety.

It's normal for symptoms to climax some until it is effective.

I just had my panic attacks like an hour ago..and this is my first time to have xanax coz im really worried earlier and cant breath..i think the more u think or worried about the anxiety,it will make it worse.

Thank you this is great, I guess working on focusing on other things and keeping busy/distracted can help not think about it? Any other ways y’all do this?

I am very active person, lot of sports..and this is the first time in my life ive struggle like this...i feel anxious and always down..

Planning to...but im lucky to have support from my friends..but yeah..i cant imagine how i reached to this point

Yes. First couple of weeks side effects to be expected. I’m afraid the docs don’t really cover this. After 2/3 weeks you should start losing the side effects and then start getting mended. For me I got worse before I got better. After 3 months feeling like a new me! 😊
