What are the best meds for extreme anxiety based on your experiences ??

ive taken zoloft and honestly that sucked for me. i am now on klonopin (clonazepam) and i have seen much more positive results on it on a few weeks then i have on zoloft for 4 months. im not sure if that helps since i am also still kind of exploring which meds works best

I take lexapro and klonapin (clonazepam) every day for years. Lexapro is a good general anti anxiety. Klonapin is stronger, fast acting. I’ve also taken beta blockers which slow down your heart rate for panic attacks. I’ve taken Zoloft in the past but it didn’t work great for me.

I've only taken sertraline for anxiety and depression and I find it really effective for the anxiety, things just wash over me much more than they used to. Unfortunately I don't find it helps much with the depression but anxiety has always been more of a long term problem for me, my depression comes and goes. Thank you all for your responses . I’ve been on lexapro for years now and it just wasn’t cutting it so my psychiatrist added rexulti and Ativan . I’m curious about the use of drugs like Ativan and klonapin and extended use of them
