Ongoing depression and new here

This is my first post here. I have suffered from depression and anxiety off and on for the last 20+ years. I have had a difficult time for the last 7 years and the 8 months have been intolerable. I ended up quitting my job to enter a treatment program. After 6 weeks of daily treatment I still felt terrible. My doctor has been trying me on different medications and they were working with terrible side effects. We seem to change my medicine every few months and I’m just desperate for some relief. I have no energy or motivation, I’m feeling hopeless and very lonely. Can anyone relate or have any advice? I feel very alone and that no one understands how terrible I really feel.

It takes an average of three tries before you get the right med. Try to be patient. Perhaps they’ll need to move you into the neurologics to help. This is a good group that can give you some peace of mind and coping skills.

What are neurologics?

Sorry. Neurological medications used off label. More and more anxiety/depression is being treated with neurological meds so the brain itself is not damaged.
