Hope everyone is doing ok in this excessive heat wave on the East coast. With the humidity and temp it was 104 today. UGH. As soon as I went out earlier it was so hot i thought i was having a panic attack. On top of it all the air conditioner in my motel room decided it was going to kick the bucket and the motel wont replace it til tomorrow during the day. UGH. ONly reason for that is because I have to see if it works over night

hlangdon, oh I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how hot it will get in your motel room.

Are you able to go to a cooling post? Life can sure pull some punches.

Agora, I cant get to one of the cooling spots here. ITs currently 80 degrees in my room. It just stinks because i mentioned it to them a few days ago and they told me it was frozen and to put the fan on only to defrost it and now its not frozen. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning when i tell them it has not changed

OMG hlangdon, I never knew that could happen. My daughter is having the same

issue with her A/C with this heat index (Chicago) I wouldn't be surprised.

I hope that there is a chance that it may work for you tonight. I wish you well

in having them replace it tomorrow. xx

I stayed in the whole day, extreme heat makes me panic, I decided to do a little exercise in my house with the ac on full blast but started to have an anxiety attack as I was sweating and had to stop, took me a while to calm down but still feel weak in the legs and off balance, sigh.. try to keep cool and hydrated x

I hope you’re able to get cool. Either with a new air conditioner or by going somewhere else to get cool.

I feel for you! Heat is so dangerous. I wonder what the liability is for the hotel owner if one of his guests has a heat stroke because he did not fix the AC in a timely manner. Also there should be a discount on your room for the days the AC was not functioning properly. After all, you were promised and paid for an air-conditioned room when you checked in and they didn't hold up their end of the bargain.

I'm also in the heat wave. Yesterday we spent floating in the lake. There was a breeze and it felt great. After that right back in the cottage.

Our ac is broken in our home. We have to go back today but luckily have a small in-law we can stay it. The ac unit there is separate.

Not looking forward to this

But, I would rather be without ac than without heat in the winter months.

I certainly hope they get there soon. I’m on the east coast and I’m having trouble in my AC. I’m going to pass out when I see this bill. I do hope you feel better soon. 💛

Neuronerd, Office of temporary assistance is paying for my room so i'm going to say something to them. don't think its getting done today
