Anxiety, Fear and The Litany

Several of us have Anxiety and Fear. I sure do. Fear is my enemy. I do the best I can to cope with it. Dealing with it I have my good days; my so so days; and my bad days.

Years ago, I read the classic SciFi, Dune. If there’s one great thing I got out of this novel was a verse that will always stay with and help me along:

THE LITANY AGAINST FEAR

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

I like this. Thank you for sharing. I just posted about fear and how the fear of change really gets me anxious

Yes. I know, fear of change is quite human. I think the Litany will be a good dose of medicine 😊
