Hi everybody,
I was recommended this book in a group therapy session last week - Embracing the Fear by Judith Bemis & AMR Barrada. It's a quick read and I found it to be super helpful for anyone living with anxiety/panic attacks:

Two biggest takeaways for me (so far) are:
1. Being patient/loving with yourself. Understanding the journey to recovery/management is long and not always linear, and the best we can do is be kind and patient with ourselves on the journey.
2. Facing, recognizing and managing Avoidance - this one spoke to me a lot. I think for any of us with anxiety, it can feel like the best option is to avoid the situations/experiences that we believe will cause us panic. The book provides some helpful tips on facing those fears, allowing for the fear/panic emotions, and being comfortable with our emotions.
