Not sure how many people here use a journal to write thier thoughts down. I started this when I was in the hospital this past week. The day I started and only wrote a paragraph I went into tears. guess it was bound to come out and that lasted about 1/2 an hour. I was in 4 full days and had about 8 pages filled of random thoughts. And to this day I was happy i did it and got things off my chest. I will probably get a note book and start up again with random things to help out

I do write in a journal myself and it helps to write things down. I will admit I have been in tears while writing in it as well.

It is normal because it is writing out everything going on in your head so it does be emotional and yeah we do and keep doing it so that it can help you.

I try to write out my life in a short story, all the bad things that happened. It's definitely a release.. I do feel emotions that have been long gone when I do it but I feel it's beneficial just from looking at it infront of me from where I am now which is a far better place.

Well not journaling but close. I write fragments of my thoughts on my smartphone and sometimes post those thoughts as poems on this site.
