I have had anxiety for five years now. I have lived comfortably until recently that i found myself unable to travel. I am ready to move in with my fianceé and start a new chapter but i cant travel. I came here for some guidance, it feels like i'm drowning and i dont know what to do. I have taken medications and tried therapists. Does it really get better? Can someone with anxiety live a happy life? How should i go about the unexpected phobias i have developed?

How do you live with anxiety and the fears that come with it?
Hi there! As someone with anxiety, I can tell you that you are not alone! I always remind myself what my dad said to me: when you’re feeling anxious it’s because you feel like your life is out of your control. You are in control, and if you’re not feeling that way, then make the small steps to gain feeling of the control back. And remembering that IT’S OKAY to not “be 100% okay” ALL the time. Accept the feelings as they are. Uncomfortable? Yes. But that’s okay! Sweaty palms? Okay! Fast heart? That’s okay. Try to do some deep breathing and focus on just that. Just breathe. Don’t sweat tomorrow. Don’t even sweat about later in day and what that will bring. Try to stay present. Sometimes I will just tell myself, I can get through 10 minutes. Then I’ll go from there. I hope this helps!
