Going no where

I'm in my early twenties, I've never been to college, and have no job. Not having one of is getting to me. Especially when your younger sister has one. After my high school experience, there's no way I could go get a degree. I know what I like to do but I don't know how to go about it. I feel so alone. Any advice would be appreciated.

Numbers and filing. Any chance you'd be interested in Medical Terminology and Microsoft Office? You can get look into Medical Records Departments in hospitals or clinics. You'll need to do some research for you local area. Just a suggestion.

I feel the same way! I am 33, no job, 2 kids, and stuck at home. Have no idea what I want to do anymore.

You should not compare yourself to your sister. You are on your own journey. I do have a 4yr degree and it took me a long time. You could go to school if you had something specific in mind. Cost is always an issue. You could join groups to meet people. Discover new interests.

You will find your way! It’s hard, but we are all going through it together.

Finding your first job can be very scary and may seem like climbing a cliff wall, but it only seems that way. My first job was mowing lawns for landscaping company. My second was at a KFC. These were naturally starter jobs. Everyone has to start somewhere. Since numbers are your thing, cashiering in some retail job seems to be a good fit to start. Common jobs for first starters are the usual in fast food service, hardware stores, retailers like Target, Kohl, or Grocery stores. I don't know where in the U.S. you are but chances are you might have access to these type of places. Also there are jobs in most communities in parks and recreation for young adults which can be stepping stones to other jobs. I'm just throwing out ideas. Let me know what other things interest you might help me generate ideas for you. You should also know that if you can also do volunteering in hospitals, city/county offices may also lead to jobs. Volunteering gives you experience and shows how serious you are about working. Just some of the thoughts I have off the top of my head.

Accounting.

So, I’m 35 in school again. I work part time. And I really am lost. I have no kids and no husband.

Some days, I feel sad, but then I realize that we are all on our own life course. There is no relay race.

Do you have any positive role models ? A motivational speaker would be beneficial.

High school and college|university is not the same experience.

You can go around school options too. For example, apply doing book keeping and gain work experience. After awhile of working, you can be online school it’s to get CPA or accounting certification through government body.
