I am suffering from Anxiety since I had my second one in my 40s. I long for a community and trustworthy people to be around me but as an immigrant to the states, I only have myself.

Hi there! If anxiety came suddenly and postpartum (after childbirth), you should bring that up with a medical professional, such as the doctor who delivered your baby or your General Practitioner. Often times anxiety and depression go hand-in-hand and they can accompany hormonal and physiological changes that occur before, during, and after pregnancy as well as leading into women's middle ages. Seeking a medical opinion on your mental and physical health is an important step.
Connecting with a support group is a second step. When you say that you are struggling because of your citizen status, does that include your family as well? Do you have relatives or friends around you that you already know and trust? If not, it is important that you do what you can not to isolate yourself. (Getting on this site is a great start!)
With children, you can do things that connect you to other parents. Visit a park, join an exercise group for new mothers and young babies, or connect with friends who have children of similar ages as yours. If you struggle finding these kind of groups, ask your medical professional for advice on where to seek community involvement and group therapy. I hope that helps.
I hope we can help you feel less alone. Hopefully we can encourage to reach out to your community. Im attempting that myself as I work from home and spend many days in solitude. Stay with us. We will help each other
Hi, I'm so sorry you're struggling to meet new friends. I can understand your situation though being here all along without family. It is difficult to trust people and you should be cautious and discerning.
Have you ever considered joining a faith-based, professional, social or some other group or activity that will allow you to attend events regularly. I've heard people share some nice experiences they've had with Meetup.com. You might explore whether or not they have groups specifically for people from your native country.
It can be a challenge to make new friends even for those of us from here. So don't give up. There are many people waiting for the opportunity to meet and get to know you. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers concerning this. Blessings to you!
