A question about life and death.

Hello, I am new here and I have a quick question for everyone. What is the difference between wanting to die and not wanting your life. I personally do not want to die, but I do not like/want my life the way it is.

The wanting to die means you probably have a plan. The not liking your life means you don't. x

HipToon, I’m seriously hoping you’re joking about the laziness......otherwise, that’s such a mean thing to say!

Fauxartist has the closest answer to how I feel about the whole thing. The bad part is I have already made several drastic changes and there is only one left that can be made. That is too leave my family which is something I do not want to do and is likely to push be to the other side of the question.

I think everyone at some point wants to not do life anymore because things are wretched hard and painful. These are moments when we are tested as to what we are really made of. It's normal to want to escape at times but then unhealthy or extreme when you are consumed with making that escape happen. I hope and pray you find ways to embrace the powerlessness we all have yet do what you can to take action to better what you can. I don't know what things you are struggling with but I doubt very much that leaving your family would help matters. If anything there would be pain/guilt/regret heaped on top of what you already have going on! Please make sure you are in counseling as someone with an objective eye can help you with decision-making. As for me, my faith in God and the beauty, joy, and reward to come in life after this place (of pain and brokenness) can make me long to leave. But I press on believing that these things will help me grow and that God can and will bring good out of it all for me and for others around me. I pray you find peace.
