yes so i've stopped taking my meds and here I am now back with health anxiety. thinking that I have an illness because of the pain in my boobs. i know that its because of my menstruation but it doesn't beat my negative thoughts. How to not think negatively.

Sounds like they were working. Now that your off, symptoms return. Nothing wrong with meds if u need them.

I need to continue them then?

I would get back on whatever worked previously. I came off once like you and symptoms returned, now back on meds and all the better for it. I won't make the mistake of coming off again. Be well!

I agree with CG. There is nothing wrong with meds if they help you. You need to be feeling better for at least 6 months before you start trying to come off them.

If you were say a diabetic would you refuse your meds on the principle you don't want to rely on them? This is the same.

They make you feel more able to tackle your issues so are you having any counselling? x

no counselling just pure meds. even though I stoppedd my meds. Am I allowed to continue with the same meds?

I can't answer that as you need to see your doctor if you decide to go back on them. x

Meds are fine if they help you, but you may also benefit from CBT or cognitive behavioral therapy. A therapist can help you learn to deal with those thoughts when they pop up. I also have health anxiety, and that is how I'm treating it. CBT takes some time to see results, but in the end I believe it will be worth it.
