It’s been a really long time since I’ve used this (about 9 months) and to update I guess - I did alright at my GCSEs, I go to a pretty decent school, still in touch with my close friends and I’ve met great new ones. A level is starting to get quite tricky (especially English lit - I also chose English language and media). I feel like even after 9 months I’m still in the same position as I was before. Struggling with school and depression. It hasn’t gone away and I feel like I will actually fail my exams if I don’t get it sorted. I’ve been procrastinating getting help for months, and I want to go to the doctors but it’s really hard to sneak out (since my parents don’t let me go to the doctors).
Sort of feel like as I look back on how I was, I really haven’t gotten anywhere.

Guess you might have some problems with monthly mood swings which can be on top of the stress you are experiencing. May be you have been swotting too hard or need some helpful guides for exam courses - you can go to smith's online and look at their English literature guides - you can get free info on your books from wiki who detail the author and may do a resume of the book and it's meaning. Letts do good guides - they do exam questions and may be examples on how to write about your books from the right angle.
Guess you need to switch off - and relax so you can rest your brain for a day or so.
Don't worry about pleasing social media networks and copying the trendies - it can give you a complex when you are not a size 6!
Don't know ! You can get mood swings with endocrine disease, such as diabetes or with growing up whether you are a boy or a girl. Stress can affect your hormones, so you become over anxious and you can feel exhausted. Hope you have a break and look at your options before deciding what you want to do as if you aren't happy with a subject may be you can change . Expect you are fit otherwise and just need to relax.
English language with media sounds interesting - the news is mainly compiled by journalists who may simplify and mislead events. I found David Crystal's book on grammar very interesting explaining grammatical construction in English language with linguistics. No need to reply -
Even though things in school are getting harder, you must not forget about yourself. Try to find time to relax in between homework to prevent yourself from burning out.
I hope things will work out for you. I pray for your success. Please keep us posted.
