How lazy do you have to be, to not do something that may literally take you 5-10 minutes??! I do this ALL THE TIME, and the little things turn into lists of all these things to do.! It would be fun to hear your stories on you at your most laziest, but more fun to have an answer on how to STOP this terrible behavior! Thanks

It's always the first step that's the hardest. Once you get going, things are completely different. My little trick is to think "I'm only going to work on this for 30 minutes (or whatever time limit you choose). At least I'll make a dent in all this, and that's better than nothing." I usually end up doing far more than I planned, because the hard part is getting off my backside and taking the first step.
Try my little trick, and see how it goes.
Thank you. Yes I've definitely done this before-planned to work an hour or something, and spent the whole day being productive. But it doesn't happen often, that's the problem! Part of the laziness is depression, and just no motivation. I live alone with my 3 dogs, so not having another person there to keep me in check, doesn't help.
I have found that the more you just sit around, the more you WILL sit around. It's a momentum thing. You've got to swing the momentum back in your favor by doing something. Make the first thing really small. Anything is better than nothing. The sense of accomplishment is usually enough to keep going and do other tasks. Afterward, you'll have something good to feel about, instead of bad.
Also, here's an article that should be of help:
Wow there are days I don't even want to walk to the toilet lol, that is how lazy I am at times
I too do this. The problem isn't laziness it's depression. Sometimes I don't wonder to brush my teeth or bath. All I want to do is lye in bed and sleep. Once I am up it is fight not to just let back down.
I've had many days lately exactly like u have just described...then at the end of the day I'll feel even worse because of it. Its a viscous cycle 🙄
