Winter etc

Blah blah...hate the winter, so cold here in the UK. I am on a phone. I isolate more but walk most says and work though may be getting redundant.

Hard to say words. I have ME too, so exhausted etc. Lost my partner, cancer, almost two years ago. Did speak to Cruse, have a care background, seen many counsellors.Have elderly parents nearby, no kids, stepson miles away neither of us drive, I get exhausted travelling ...future scary

Wondering whether to get a SAD lamp. Have all round depression all year. Wondering whether to up Sertraline to highest dose, doctor knows but I worry they may affect my exhaustion even worse? I don't get much help.

I try small steps. Even that can be hard eh?!

Thanks

Hi there and welcome to the group! Yes there a lot of good people on here! I hope your fears of redundancy come to nothing! I'm sorry you lost your partner how long were you together? I looked into getting a sad lamp but found them to be to expensive they seem to work from what I've heard about them! Regards you serltratine allways go by what your doctor advises don't change the dose yourself! Again welcome and take care david

hi sorry to hear that you are struggling from day to day,and that you lost your partner;its a long day when you don't see many people. I suffer from depression as well as anxiety.Getting one of those lamps is ok but don't see them in the shops around 50 pounds...What type of work do you do.Im retired so thankfully don't have to worry about work, though have to try and join something this year.im in UK too.

Hey there! I'm sorry you're struggling so much. Everything you're going through isn't easy, but I admire you for trying to get through it. My aunt used a happy lamp when she was living in Alaska. It helped with her depression greatly. She also sought out a naturalistic doctor who was also a chiropractor to help with some alternative methods instead of increasing her depression meds. It worked for her, so maybe it's worth a shot? In the mean time here's a list of great online resources that you might find helpful too. list.ly/list/1CE4-looking-u...
