TMS for medicine resistant depression/anxiety

I'mgoing for an evaluation fort TMS treatments tomorrow, Jan. 2nd 2019.

Any of you out there try it with good results ?

I know of 2 people who tried TMS with the physician's office I'm using. One did exceptionally well and one did not. The effects need to be maintained as I understand it by developing a consitent individually tailored wellness plan. An analogy would be you can have this great brand new car that's the envy of great car enthusiasts. However, if you don't get it serviced properly, in a timely fashion, leave it out in the elements without

protection, never clean it, fill it up with trash, don't take it to the body shop as needed,

drive it beyond it's limits.....so much for that once enviable car. It's now in the junk yard.

I know of a third woman who tried TMS successfully, with a doctor in Manhattan, but from what I observed she appeared to have some sort of psychosis which made her unable to maintain the gains from TMS, like a booster. My hypothesis is that if she returned for some TMS treatment while her health

was again becoming compromised she potentially could have faired much better.

The treatment itself is easy, the follow up a bit more challenging. So help with maintenance is needed until it becomes a habit.

I always tell people doing TMS my story and I hope it helps!

I had to stop at session 30 because my anxiety was through the roof. My fiancé found 39 complaints about anxiety increasing during TMS and some said they never even had anxiety prior to TMS.

It was explained to me that while it’s helping the depression on the left side of your brain, it opens up space for anxiety which is on the right side.

I will say though; it was worth it. My depression diminished so much afterwards. Around session 25 myself and my family noticed I wasn’t so down anymore. Of course I hated the anxiety but I was managing it with meds. I finally felt more balanced.

It works differently for everyone. A lot of people don’t feel results until session 30+ and others feel results on session 8. Google NueroStar TMS. That’s what I researched prior to applying. Oh and no matter what anyone says, insurance DOES cover it. But if you do it on the right side as well, it’s out of pocket because FDA hasn’t approved it yet. Good luck!! Keep me posted!!

This was back in October and I did go through a very rough period around Christmas. I don’t think it had anything to do with TMS. It was a situational issue. And going for reboots is supposed to help. Good luck!!
