I have been in treatment for a couple years now. Multiple meds, therapy, doing everything the doctors say but the depression and anxiety are no better. I can barely leave my room let Alone my home. I am getting ready to give up. I dont know what else i can do.

Hi I no it is hard I have depression and anxiety been like this since February this year I don’t no if u get high Pitch noise in your 👂I don’t no it is anything to do with Anxiety it is not nice

Hey "Crazy"...that just doesn't sound right. You're not crazy. If you are, then we all are. And I'm not.

Anxiety/depression isn't who I am. It's something I deal with.

I went and read your profile page...your first post. A lot of tough breaks...but you are only seeing the negative. That's the anxiety/depression filter.

When I read it, I saw "a wife and kids..."

Lost your house...but were taken in and given someplace to go.

You lost some material things. But your family stuck by you.

Stick by them.

Don't ever let them think they weren't enough.

If you want to give up something...give up "giving up."

One step that's different from yesterday.

Then another.

I know it's a fight. The toughest one we ever face because it's a fight with our own thoughts and fears.

You have to stop "giving up" all day.

Spend a few hours working on something for your wife...your kids.

Keep your mind occupied.

Watch them smile when they see their Dad again.

Hi Crazyme,

I hear and understand your frustration. I’m pretty much the same as you. It’s not easy but you need to try and force yourself to get up - even for a few minutes at a time at first. You also should try to exercise daily as it helps reduce anxiety.

Have you been with the same therapist all along? Is he/she setting goals for you and trying to get you to slowly expand your comfort zone? If not then you might need to consider another therapist. If they are then you need to try a little at a time. I know personally it’s difficult but it’s the only way to get better. Anxiety feeds off fear. The only way to conquer it is to overcome your fear. It’s not an easy or quick but it’s the only way.

Know that there are a lot of people here that know how you feel. We’re all pulling for you and will support you. I only recently joined here and the support is amazing. I truly wish you all the best.
