Hello! I have been looking for a support group to bounce ideas off of or hear from others with GAD. 3 months ago I started taking Zoloft. Before I had taken Paxil for almost a year, I had a horrible time with the discontinuation syndrome. Zoloft has been a transition for me too. I used to just have anxiety issues but now I think the Zoloft is causing a bit of depression. I take 100MG. I switched because my doctor told me it was safer for when my husband and I decide to start a family. I would like to be off of any medicine while pregnant but I am not sure it will be possible. Zoloft has also caused me to start picking at the skin around my fingers, scratch at my head, etc. Any suggestions on anxiety medicine while trying to get pregnant?

I'm right there with you! Just started Zoloft and went through horrible withdrawal when getting off Cymbalta. Plus, my husband is ready for kids and with me being in my mid 30's, I dont have much time left to have kids naturally.

Next week I'll be going into an adult day program for anxiety and depression at a local hospital. I am going to bring up anxiety and medication and the possibilty of pregnancy. If any useful info comes to light I'll be sure to let you know!

Buspar is a mild, relatively harmless tranquilizer. I take 10 mg three times a day.
