Need Help

I need help I want to get in to therapy but I don’t want the therapist to acted like it’s all my fault like the one before or to push meds down on me!!! Just looking for someone I can let all of my issues out to!! I’m tried of trying to be a tough guy to everyone!! All it is doing is hurting the ones I love the most!! Please leave me some insight on how to approach the therapist

I hear you! I believe good therapists are out there. Don't give up looking.

You approach your therapist with truth and honesty. I told mine I was not interested in any meds and would only consider them as a last resort.

If you are unhappy with your therapist, ask for a different one.

There is no point in seeing a therapist if it is not working.

But you also need to be honest with yourself. If you are looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear then you're wasting your time.

Sometimes the truth may be hard to accept...but it is still the truth.

It's a little bit of a tangent, but I've always heard that the secret to negotiating is to never be in a position that you can't walk away from. Don't give up searching for a therapist that gets you and be comfortable trying out different ones until you find your match. You're doing so well to get to this point. Just keep hacking at this tree and it'll come down eventually. Hang in there.
