I have my third psychiatrist appointment today and I have to explain to him why I stopped the lexapro six days in. I need to find a solution to help me but I feel like the ssri type drugs always mess me up. I would much rather find a more natural solution to my problem. I cut caffeine and and stopped the meds and I’ve had a headache ever since. I’m also feeling prettt tired which is different for me. I wish I could just get my life together. I just want to be normal again. Is that really too much to ask?

caffeine withdrawal takes ages. like solid 2-3 months.

I almost believed I have gone insane after quitting cigs and caffeine cold turkey.

Now it's like 8 weeks very reduced smoking and in that about 7 weeks completely smoke free. whooh, I still keep having racing mind and weird thoughts and get up at least 2 times every night.

My main cure for depression before this and now semi-ADD/OCD/anxiety thing now is to calmly sit down and learn something. Then try to pack adventures, sights and emotions in my free time.

Emotions is best to form memories, so if you get pleasant emotions, youll form good memories, that will kill bad thoughts and memories.

For each their own, but I feel super pleasant in snow and mountains and sight of sun on snow gives me chills.

Music festivals also are great, great thing for flushing your brain. I never liked them, but once you are there - boom.. it's a parallel universe and you forget yourself.

Feel better my friend and do not be afraid to tell your psychiatrist that you are not interested in taking any medications or drugs. They should understand and accept that and try to find alternative, natural ways to improve your state.

Many friends and family immediately even after one session get pushed a pill, in my opinion its only needed in the most extreme cases but I am no doctor so please take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Hope it goes well!

Great idea, people have suggested different herbs, teas, and even having certain scents like vaporizing lavender and things like that in your room to be more comfortable and relaxed.

It's worth checking out, I am looking at getting one of these room vaporizers for my office and bedroom to try and create a more calming, relaxed environment.

I need to look into the teas that are out there also, so many natural ways to induce relaxation in the body and calmness without prescription drugs - I need to do more searching...
