I've had anxiety on and off for years i used to take paxil to help but i just didn't feel like me. I stopped taking it a few years back and have been fine until a few months ago. When my attacks started taking over my life the are almost daily, I've lost jobs over it and really have stopped living at all to cater to it. Hoping to find some answers and get my life back. My anxiety is mostly health related if i feel anything i think is abnormal in my body It triggers anxiety. Thanks for reading.

New to this not to anxiety.
I’ve been extremely stressed before but I don’t think it in anyway compared to what you endure. Hang in there.
Hi Draynor,
Please take a look at my favorite resources below! You are experiencing the most common pitfall of all: As the attacks come, you hide, afraid of going out and having another attack- what will you do? Who will see? Where will you hide? Anxiety is always watching to see how you respond to it's early erroneous messages that there is danger. When you hide away, anxiety says, "Yes! I knew I was right. I knew there was something dangerous going on. He's safely tucked away in the house now- perfect. If he tries to go out again, I'll double down and make sure he knows how treacherous it is out there!" The anxiety/panic of course becomes more frequent and gets amplified! Anxiety is silly this way. You might even say it's a little dumb. But there's a way to turn it around. You have to take anxiety out and show it what is going on - show it that outside is safe, that a workplace is safe, that talking to people is safe, that living life is pretty darned safe. Once it sees you doing this, it will continue to try to stop you, but you must ignore it. Remember, it's making big, silly mistakes. Let it kick and scream - let the panic come. Let it all come over and over again. As you ignore it and carry on despite anxiety/panic, over time, anxiety has a realization - there's no danger! No big, real danger anyway- not the kind that anxiety is supposed to be there for. Anxiety then starts to slowly but surely settle down for a nap.

Why don’t you try going back to Paxil I believe that will help you. Please don’t give up I know it’s so easy so say it but I am going through anxiety too and feel the miracle pills can help us. I am on lexapro 10 waiting for it to help me. Been on it for 18 days now and I have been doing a little better by taking it.
hugs.... hope you are feeling better after taking Paxil. one of the misconceptions abt meds is patient can stop taking once they are feeling better. from what i understand is that the patient has to continue taking until the doctor feels that they are ok for not taking the meds anymore. my suggestion will be to continue taking and if you feel like stopping, check with your psychiatrist if tht’s ok. sometimes chemical imbalance in our body may take time to heal. hope this helps! God bless....
