I recently had to go off of Zoloft because it was giving me bad digestive side effects. I’ve been on only Abilify for almost a week to see if I wouldn’t need to continue combining it with an SSRI like I was with the Zoloft, but my depression is starting to come back bad again so I think it’s time to get back on the wagon. My doctor said if just the Abilify wasn’t enough that we were going to try Lexapro with it. I hope this is the one that finally works without bad side effects, I’m going to start it this weekend.

Good Luck to you mrsmandy. I have been on Lexapro for nearly 5 years and it has

been a wonderful drug for me. I'm not lethargic, fully alert and energetic. I can only

wish the same results for you. xx

That is encouraging! Thank you, best to you.

Hi Chrispal, When I was on benzos for many years, I was always tired, spacy

and just no energy. After weaning off the benzos (that no longer worked anyway)

I was put on Lexapro. It took care of my anxiety w/o the tired feeling. I also became

clearheaded once more being off benzos.

I’m on Lexapro too, great medicine! I was crying everyday and not sleeping well. Now I’m sleeping and not crying except when appropriate

My son’s psychiatrist switched him from Zoloft to Prozac. So far, no real side effects. Zoloft was horrible.

I too developed digestive problems from Zoloft (diarrhea) and have been on Lexapro for awhile now without any outstanding side effects.

I’m glad to hear that, for you and myself! I’m hoping to see improvements soon.
