Hi babygirl,

I'm so sorry that you're struggling with high anxiety and bipolar disorder but I'm happy for you that you had no panic attacks today. That's a major victory!!

I guess you know that Topamax/topiramate is known for difficult side effects that take a long time to go away. I think it's partly because it takes 6 days for the drug to clear our systems so as we take it day after day the concentration and effects are still building up. Both myself and my sister had difficulty getting through the period needed for the side effects to ease up. I took it for its appetite suppressant effects so you can imagine how it affects the digestive system while the side effects are still strong. GI tract misery!

I have bipolar disorder also..BPII. It was tough to adapt to all the problems it brings but I'm finally doing much better. So I can understand somewhat your struggle with it. JIC you might want a reminder, here are the common side effects:

tiredness,

drowsiness,

dizziness,

nervousness,

numbness or tingly feeling in the hands or feet,

coordination problems,

diarrhea,

weight loss

I had to rewrite this a few times, so I'm going to verify it quickly while I'm ahead.

Take care, Hugs, Love, and Blessings...

I forgot to tell you...some people will hesitate to write on a post open to the whole internet. I just didn't want you to not get any responses so I took a chance. To lock your post so only this HealthUnlocked community can see it, when you wrote your message you needed to select the button that said that (something like "Only this Community" rather than the other one, which is the default button and says "Anyone". One or the other must be chosen. You might want to repost this message that way or ask an administrator, listed to your right, to lock this one for you. Take care...
