Hey guys , does anyone else catch themselves clenching your teeth ? My teeth are really aching today and I’ve been so anxious for the past 4 days , I’m wondering if it’s because of that ?

Yep, try getting a mouth guard for nighttime and during the day try to take time every hour or so to mentally relax your jaw you can set an alarm to buzz lightly to remind you!

Yes I do this too, mostly in my sleep. My dentist has provided me with a mouth guard which I wear at night ..to protect my teeth and lessen the affect 🌺🌺🌺

This happens to me too. I clench my teeth alot. I've been doing a better job of relaxing my jaw. When I remember and feel me getting anxious or tense and my jaw clenching I stop and try to chill out.

Getting a guard sounds like a good option or when you find yourself clenching maybe take a second and do some deep breathing and try to relaxes yourself.

Hope your jaw and teeth feel better soon.

Anxiety can cause that! Also bruxism (grinding teeth during sleep). You can ask your dentist about it next time because they can look for signs of it. I bought a $15 mouth guard from Walgreens that I form fitted and sleep in. Worth it

I tend to grind my teeth when I'm really anxious. It's quite common too clench your jaw tight when nervous too. My partner suffers from social anxiety and he has this habit, he had to have two teeth taken out the other day and I'm pretty sure that clenching or grinding his teeth made the situation slightly worse
