Seriously, my teeth are getting worn down due to anxiety. I can't stop grinding them, not even in my sleep. Please don't suggest doctors or dentists. I am afraid of both, and I can't leave my apartment due to a recent injury. Does anyone have like a mouth-guard option they use? Anything? I am taking pills for anxiety and depression, and still, teeth grinding. I wake up sometimes in the night finding tooth parts on my tongue.

Can't Stop Grinding My Teeth
Hi....There are over the counter "Boil & Bite" mouth guards that you can purchase
which will provide you some protection in saving your teeth. Of course nothing is
as good as a custom made mouth piece but this should help. You may be able to
order this on line. Good Luck xx
I use a rubber mouth guard from the drug store for four years now. I had to have the dentist put a wire behind my teeth to hold the whole bottom row in because they became so loose, they were about to fall out. It works like a charm and cut down on the time my jaw tensed up and moved around in nervousness during the day.
I have cracked so many teeth from grinding. I'm constantly getting the cracks filled at the dentist.
As Agora1 pointed out there are over the counter guards you can buy. Not sure on the quality but better than not having anything at all. I have a custom guard. I actually bit right through it one night. I heard it crack and my teeth were killing me.
Hopefully you find a product that helps you.
I use the Doctor's mouth guard. You fit it to your mouth and teeth. It has worked for me.
My meds cause my tooth grinding. The dentist (sorry) gave me a thin mouth guard that I can sleep with. I think it's actually the same thing they make Invisalign braces with. But it's much smaller than athletic mouth guards you get at the store.
You can also try anti-anxiety sleep hypnosis on youtube, some of them play all night. I put my phones brightness at nearly it's lowest setting and have it beside me in bed on low where I can still hear it so it doesn't disturb my partner who sleeps in the room next door.
I also grind my teeth at night. This is called bruxism. In the past I have worn a custom night guard from my dentist (which insurance doesn't cover), but now I wear a guard I bought OTC at Rite Aid. It's not one that requires boiling. I've worn it for about 8 months, and it works well. I think I paid around $45 for it.
Hope this helps!
