Feeling anxious

Hi, I'm new. I have generalized anxiety and have been waking up crying and feeling worried. I'm having a hard time getting motivated to go to work. I also find myself making excuses not to hang out with friends cause I feel tired and anxious. Any one else feel this way?

Yes...I feel this way constantly... Today I am losing the fight again. It's exhausting.

Yup! I slept for 12 hours and skipped work today. I'm also avoiding going out and seeing people... It's too much to handle but I believe that it will get better. Stay strong!

I've been missing work too. Sometimes the stress really gets to me. Then I think about finding a new job but that also sounds stressful

Everything sounds stressful if you think about it. You need to work mainly on managing your stress before thinking about changing your job unless you're pretty sure that your job is the thing causing you stress...

Hi Beachluvr123. Welcome aboard. I just want you to know you’re not alone in this struggle. I totally understand what you’re going through; I just passed going through that phase myself. Perhaps all you need is a new environment to keep you motivated. I know it’s extremely difficult to think about applying for a new job now when you lack the motivation, but you might be happier doing it and end up at a new place. Whatever you do, don’t quit your job; it’s much more harder to find new employment when you’re unemployed. Feel free to return here anytime. We’re all here for you to keep you moving forward.

I have felt this way several times. I have to remind myself that anxiety does not control me. Also, when I feel myself getting this way, I like to go outside and get fresh air or call and talk to my closest friend or relative. Having someone that knows what you are going through can help you so much! I hope everything gets better.
