1.Try to Breathe in by count to 4 but not your nose but through your belly, exhale through your mouth by counting to 4 ....2. Try holding something cold in your holds than right after than something hot 3. Clean- distract yourself

I'm here & feel like you do. I have the extreme anxiety & am trying to face the fact that I soon will be living by myself for the first time in my life; I'm terrified. The weekends are the worst as they are so long; I work part time four days a week & go to a group lunch on Wed., but once I'm home, I'm overwhelmed with being alone. I can't enjoy being out anymore as it's always in my head that I have to go home & be alone. I just got a therapist but haven't really started it yet; am trying to journal & challenge all the negative thoughts I constantly have through using cognitive behavioral therapy. You should try deep breathing & meditation; I do have a good tape I listen to, but still I'm terrified & feel hopeless. I might go lay back down for awhile, although that is the worst thing we can do. I have alot of pain issues & they're alot worse now; no motivation. Are you still on-line?

Breathing is good for your body and mind. I’m a lot older and I always think people should be alone at sometime in their life because it builds strength. It may not seem like it now.

Try exercising, listen to music you like and/or color. You can go to the Dollar Store and get basic color books and it helps you focus on what you’re doing.

I just recently started painting rocks. You can find many ideas on Pinterest. I’m not Picasso but I’m getting better.

I hope you’re feeling better!!!

I have been exactly where you are and I can tell you that it does get better. I agree with the other suggestions of meditation. I recently downloaded the app Insight Timer. It has many meditations and talks/podcasts that you could try. It also has natural sounds and healing sounds. Those things really help calm me down.

MoodTools is a great app to down load as well

Have you done the breathing exercises? Those are good, or one thing I do is tense my self up and then release. I do it arms first. I squeeze them or tense them for a few seconds and then release I work my way down. It seems to help me. Or drink something cold. Hope you are feeling better

To add on .. Use some of those tension balls or hec for me I use those new things that are made for kids that came out recently the squishes like mine is a big peach and then it inflates back up very therapeutic to squeeze

Im going to piggy back on Espinoza 37 and add this ——-Get a slow riding squishy toy and squeeze
