anxiety symptoms please help

I really need support with my anxiety or what i think is anxiety although anybody who has health anxiety will e be convinced anxiety can do all these things to their body. I have had every heart test apart from a stress test and ive still not been convinced. my best friend died with sads ( sudden adult death syndrome when i was 18. (30 now ) i worry so much i have a heart condition. I get skipped beats or missed beats that cause such a horrible rollercoaster feeling in my chest and feels like my stomach drops, i get breathless, very dizzy which is constant and it feels like my body freezes for a second or 2. im at my wits end i am not sleeping at night and i just cannot relax. When i am not getting the skipped beats i am getting hard palpitations. Is anybody else like this? i am sick of feeling like i may die and leave my kids behind. im holding down uni and a job as well as 3 kids going through this and I am struggling to cope.

Hi dannilou21, I am very sorry for the passing of your friend but you must remember, you are not your friend. Yes, it was tragic this happened to her but doesn't mean it will

happen to you. Once we get fixated on someone our age dying, it robs us of our own lives.

Going to uni, holding down a job and being a mother of 3 certainly puts a lot of demands

on you I agree. Don't allow anxiety to tag along for the ride as well.

It is unreal what anxiety can do to our body, causing scary symptoms that are not really

physically caused but come from the negative thoughts in our brain.

Keep telling yourself that you are not going to die. You have things to do in life. This is

the reason you are here at this moment. Take negativity out of your thoughts and start

looking more positively as all you have to look forward to.

We are given this one chance in life. It is up to us in what we choose. Happiness or despair.

You've been blessed dannilou, make every moment count. :) xx

"What if" are 2 words I always kick to the curb lolThey don't belong in our lives. Once you are mentally strong

enough, you can and will be able to handle anything life throws your way. :) xx

Hi there,

It sounds horribly like stress to me. Had it myself a few years back, and convinced myself it was heart related, but tests showed otherwise.

Palpitations, Check! Skipped and dropped beats, Check!

Breathlessness, dizziness, swoopy feelings, the whole nine yards.

I also had high blood pressure, and it was all stress. I moved just before the first lockdown, and the stress has gone. I feel as good as a 73 year old can!

Have a word with your doctor about your fears, I think your friend's loss has affected you more that you may realise, and Covid is adding to the stress effect.

Cheers, Midori

It does feel like stress. I have had this for so long on and off and sometimes if I feel I have another Ailment I’ll forget about the heart thing. I hate the skipped beats and woozy feeling that you described perfectly. Maybe I need to get my blood pressure taking. Thank you for taking the time to message me xx

Hi dannilou21xx, you are not alone. I, too, have extreme anxiety over my health. I have had an echocardiogram, stress test and several EKGs. My cardiologist has assured me that my heart is ok. Yet, I still worry that I am going to have a heart attack. I don't know where this is coming from. Now I am seeing a therapist and have started on medication and hoping this will help. I just want you to know I feel your pain.

I soooo feel your pain, I’ve had many tests and it doesn’t ease my worrying. Actually makes it worse. Trouble is ( I don’t know if you’re the same ) because I have had so many appointments and I feel the doctors pawn me off- I now stay far away as possible from doctors. Xx

Thank you. It helps to know I am not alone. I agree with you that doctors don't pay attention to what we are telling them. Next week I am having some more tests but am not confident it will give me any answers. I do have an appointment with a psychiatrist to review my meds. A little hopeful about that. I am so sick and tired of my constant anxiety and depression.

I was where you are now, in 1993. Please read my profile. If your dr will clear you for exercise, I’m im sure they will. Get 7-8 hours of sleep each night. Lack of sleep is anxiety’s best friend. Avoid all caffiene and stimulants. Get 45-60 minutes of daily cardio exercise to produce endorphins that battle your anxiety and depression. Take a 5 minute pure cold shower. It shocks the anxiety and depression right out of you! You can feel the results in 2 days. And anxiety can cause hearts to skip beats . You have a full plate on your hands . But if you don’t take care of you, you can’t take care of anyone else. You got this ! If after a couple weeks of doing it 7 days a week. If you still need help, tell your dr. Also Google cold shower therapy anxiety, so you don’t think I’m nuts .

I am quite scared to exercise I don’t know why I have that fear. I agree with everything you have said. Thank you for your reply. I don’t think I eat enough foods with vitamins and stuff that’s good for you either and I’m constantly getting stressed out. Yes the skipped beats are the worst, they scare me so bad. I do have A lot of caffeine but I’ve heard it’s really bad for people with anxiety. Thank you for your advice :) xx
