Hi, I feel tired all the time and my family keeps asking me why I’m so tried because any time we go anywhere I’m exhausted. Personally, I think being anxious all the time uses up all of my energy, so that might be why if you have anxiety or depression. Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone :)

I was thinking that too, anxiety and especially depression can drain someone's energy

I'm tired all the time too. I sleep about 12 hours every night and I still need a nap during the day. I can always fall asleep when I'm napping but sometimes at night I struggle to fall asleep because I'm anxious. You're not alone

Well I am also tired a lot and often need at least 12 hours sleep a day. Mine is caused by depression, a borderline under active thyroid, copd, and old age. I think you should go to the doctors as you might have a physical problems such as a lack of vitamins etc. x

See your doctor, or the school doctor for a check up.

I made an appointment for Wednesday

Go to your DR's, its that simple you shouldn't feel this exhausted it could be many things but the sooner your Dr starts ruling them out the better don't you think?I hope I didn't come across as unsympathetic cause that's opposite of how I meant it

in reply to

No problem and yes i did make an appointment hoping they could help since i have to keep drinking coffee just to stay awake

I completely relate. I often skip meals because that time slot is the only time really have to sleep or nap. Most days I can’t go to lectures because I can’t make myself wake up and if I do I am rarely able to pay attention in them. I do have some tips though:

- when you wake up, you’ll be able to concentrate a lot better if you start with a cup of tea

- even if the food s hard to swallow, make sure you eat at least half of what is on your plate, this way you can slowly work your way up to eating full meals again

- energy boosters such as Berocca (South Africa) are great supplements to take when you feel you are about to crash and need to sleep at odd times

- try depression medication, they have really helped normalize my sleeping dramatically

- force yourself to see friends and socialize if you are extroverted, it really helps boost your energy

- going for a walk or doing some low intensity form of exercise helps stimulate your mind and body and wake you up

- try to force yourself to wake up and go to sleep at the same time everyday, your body will start getting used to a sleeping pattern with a set amount of hours

Hope some of these helped. I’m still trying to stay on top of them myself but I’m getting there and they really are helping! lots of love your way x

Will definitely try, especially that energy boosters im depending a little too much on the coffee

I feel tired all the time - especially when I'm anxious, stressed, and depressed. I don't know if it's chronic fatigue or adrenal fatigue.

Depression can be the cause too i swear its an energy drainer
