Have you tried deep breathing or meditation?

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you been prescribed medication for your anxiety?

Xanax? Escaping through music? Figuring out triggers?

Hi again, I just read that you tried Xanex. At a higher dose, as I said, it kills the one panic attack. Ativan, I took 2mgs 3X, is smother and long lasting without the drugged effect.

Good luck!

Hi,

I have a lot of fun things myself. Right now, though, anxiety is horribly predominant. I ODed a few months ago. I was on a prescription that specifically stated "Do not give to Bipolar women at the age of 50. Causes extreme Bipolar depression and Vertigo."

Yes, twisted my ankle open and when my lovely husband pushed the right buttons on me, he finally thought he had won.

I wrote this because I over dosed on Ativan. Of the few Benzos, this is the least stupor causing and most smooth anti-anxiety drug there is. I was taking 6 mgs of it broken into 2mgs. I warn you, all Benzos are highly addictive but they are really all one can take with therapy. They do help tremendously.

My soon to be dismissed/dismissive psychiatrist took me off Ativan.

He asked from whence I had procured so much. ( I had been in rehabs and hospitals that gave them back to me.) So, of course, I told him.

He exclaimed "stockpiling!" Then when I replied I would toss my other drugs...he oddly enough, said "No, why throw them away? You might need them?"

Anyhow, I am not taking anything at all. I have developed an hideous heat/anxiety rash on my arms and fingers. They are painfully itchy. (Usually, they appear from stress but mostly when my darling husband, the perfect pervert and stalker, shows up.)

They leave giant holes in my flesh and are easily infected, scar, and are embarrassing. I have a very important interview that I am to panicked to recall how to prepare for. Really sad. I am VERY good with computer yet I became panicked and stymied with how to change a password.

So, it is not illegal, I discovered, to prescribe me Benzos, of which, Klonopin is the worst. Xanax is a very good emergency benzo but unpleasant to take daily. It also, acts swiftly. (It cuts off before one's next dose and does make one feel drugged up.)

Have you taken Benzos? To try to deal with anxiety by itself through breathing, meditation, and therapy without the conjunctive treatment does not seem to work. For me, Homeopathy sucks too.

Hello :) I have been dealing with panic attacks and nocturnal attacks since I was 19. First, you need to remind yourself that panic attacks are just chemicals in your body that are triggered by your fight or flight mechanism. Someone peoples (like mine) are broken. Wether from trauma as a child or PTSD. 2nd, and the hardest, you have to accept them. Once you realize what they are and learn to accept them they don’t happen as often. Try the 4x4x4x4 rule. Inhale for 4 seconds, and hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds and hold for 4 seconds. It helps your body calm down. Always remember, that while they may be scary, panic attacks can’t hurt you. ❤️

Ps: I have a YouTube channel called My Interesting Life with Panic Disorder. Where I chronicle my life, try to brush away the stigma of mental health issues and share ways to get past panic attacks. :)

Feel free to check it out and add me.
