Hello everyone, I'm here to give advice to everyone, especially owners of panic attacks. First, taking a drug is very important. Second, talk to anyone you trust. Third, do not do anything regret it in the future

Are you a counselor or have you experienced Anxiety attacks yourself? Just curious about your advice. I have found a mixed bag about taking meds. It helps some folks and doesn't others. Do you suffer from depression as well?

That's awesome! It took me years to find the right combo of things to help control my anxiety.

For me, vistaril helps lessen the severity of a panic attack if I take it soon enough or at least help me calm down afterward and not have a second one right away. Coping skills like meditation, breathing, and grounding techniques are huge.

You are the 3rd person I’ve heard mention vistaril, for anxiety specifically, I’m so glad to see this because my mom was prescribed them decades ago for her nerves which made her pick at her skin leaving scars and making a mosquito bite a crater, the vistaril was said to help as an anti anxiety drug and an antihistamine. Decades later I was diagnosed with GAD and prescribed Valium. My mom was never officially diagnosed with anxiety disorder at this point but after my experiences she was re-evaluated and has severe anxiety and depression; only treated with Prozac and Alcoholism. I learned quickly that taking benzodiazepines daily leads to an uninvited tolerance and no longer provides relief when needed the most; so, I take vistaril at night to manage uncomfortable anxiety and Valium during the day when I need fast acting relief immensely. I’m very happy with the rotation of these two medications to control anxiety and panic attacks. It’s nice to know that others are using this oldie but goody with positive results.

It’s great, because it’s a medication that is generally not addictive too.

Yes that’s the best part!!! I forgot about that, anything that helps with anxiety and isn’t “habit forming” or quick to develop a tolerance to is a winner in my mind!😍

Your mother should take medication, exercise and distance from negative thinking by engaging in what is useful
