Hello All,

My name is April and I’m 28 and live in Chicago,IL. I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for over 10 years. It has been this up and down draining rollercoaster for me for as long as I can remember. I’m looking for ways to deal with my anxiety in a healthy way.

Welcome April. I'm sure you will find some support here and hopefully some coping skills. Like " Here I Am" said exercise really helps me. I also read a lot too. Mysteries.

Howdy April! Welcome to the forums and I hope you are enjoying your weekend :) Obviously there are several ways to deal with depression and anxiety. For me, distraction works well for depression. Suffering from ADHD as I do, I usually zoom from one interest to another, which does help keep the depression at bay sometimes. For anxiety, meditation has done wonders for me. For me, it always helps to do some meditation at the end of the day to give myself a chance to decompress and let the stress of the day go. These are just a couple of things I try. Hopefully you can find something that works for you. Again, welcome to the community and if you ever need to talk or vent, we're all here for ya :)

A friend,

Brian :)

Thank you Brian. I wish I could say I was having a phenomenal weekend but it’s been one full of horrible anxiety.

I’m lucky my boyfriend who also is an anxiety sufferer to help me through this tough times.

I think I’m going to start excersing more and I’ve been looking into meditation.
