Today is my 47ty birthday. As you all know I too often struggle with depression and anxiety, which makes any relationship I have difficult. I’ve been studying the relationship with anxiety, depression and inflammation. There are many compelling discussions within the medical community related to food, specifically enzymes in the GI tract, leading to inflammation triggering emotional instability. So I decided that I would eliminate sugar and carbohydrates. I’m on my third day of this new venture. I’ll I eat is meat and lettuce. Let’s see if his helps emotionally. Anyone ever had good results with this?

Rpan,

Happy Birthday!!🎊🎈🎁🎂🎉

I don’t know about the diet but eliminating sugar and carbs is always a good thing. I do not eat a lot of meat but I have cut back on soda and alcohol. 😬. I’d love to hear how it works for you! Have a great day. 🌸🌸🌸

Happy Birthday! Please keep us informed. In the past I cut out carbs for a short time and I know I had an increase in energy levels. I could see how having energy could also make feel better and improve your mood. I have been struggling to try it again because I use food as a gratification while I am down. Sooo.... still trying to get it right. Best wishes!

Hi it is dangerous to cut one an entire group and a meat and lettuce diet is silly and unhealthy.

We all need carbohydrates for energy though I agree it is a good idea to cut down a lot on suger and fat.

Happy birthday!! I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

As for sugar, you still need it, but stick to natural sugars, meaning eating fruits. Highly recommend watermelon and strawberries. The first few days without other sugars will be hard (i.e. you'll just be tired or cranky, nothing bad). But eat your fruits and I hope you the best! Good luck ! Again, happy birthday!

Happy Birthday!! I’m curious about this too. Let me know how it goes please:)

Happy birthday Rpan!

Sounds like you are on the Keto road! Just don’t go to crazy cutting things out all at once. I did this and got the Keto Flu.🤢

I am now just limiting my carbs to around 40-60 a day and trying to make those carbs healthy ones. Cut out sugar as well. Been doing this for about 3 months and am down 20lbs. I’m not sure if it is helping my anxiety but do notice I feel better getting some weight off so that puts me in a more positive mind set! Good luck 😉

Happy birthday!!! Sorry I'm a day late! I wish you all the best for the rest of your year! XXXX
