A little over a month ago, my daughter,33, and I were assaulted in our home by a drugged out friend of hers. I wasn't physically injured but he hurt her. He had a knife. He busted out several windows in my home and destroyed my cell phone when I tried to call 911. All I could do is scream and scream!. He left but we managed to get out and go to a neighbors to call the police. I had to go to the ER for chest pain and my nerves. I am 64 years old and in poor health. My daughter refused treatment and would not press charges on him but I did.

Tomorrow I go to court with him ( he was picked up and jailed for another crime) I am not a vengeful person but nobody comes in my house and hurts me or mine!. I am anxious about this court appearance. He has to pay for my hospital bills and damages to my home, much less the stress and anxiety this has caused me. I can't afford a lawyer. Pray for me to say and do the right thing! THANKS

my heart really goes out to you and your daughter...and you bet...sending all the good karma your way in the world...these monsters don't deserve to get away with this crap, the amount of trauma you must have gone through....it's the kind of trauma that does cause PTSD. I would not hold back on anything if your asked to testify....do you have any pictures of the damages, hospital bills, police report...bring them...and use them to back up anything you have to say...lawyers for the defense are 'slick willies' and can come up with all kinds of crap.....hold your ground, be the momma tiger protecting her young in there...keep your cool.
