My daughter is suffering from severe anxiety and depression, took CBT and medication for a year but then stopped all medications saying it’s not working on her, she is 19 year old , a very bright kid, now locked in her room for a year refusing any treatment
If we try to push her for treatment she says she will kill herself.
Now I’m also really sad and cry most of the time
Really need people who are taking care of their loved ones suffering from mental illness to guide me how to cope with it
Thank u

My daughter is the same and now isn't eating or hardly sleeping. she is 20. idk what to do. she sees someone once a month and refuses to go any more often. I'm lost and sick to my stomach because she hates me for trying anything to help her!
Have hope and patience at least she is seeing someone, I’m praying that she agrees to meet up a psychologist. Really need to know how to convince her as she isn’t talking to me for a month now
I am so sorry Amother that your going through this...it's so frustrating and sad to see your child suffer...and honestly....I think you may want to go to a therapist yourself and talk to them about what they think would be the best course of action to take as she is an adult and you have no legal recourse....on the other hand...since she is threatening to take their life, that's grounds right there for possibly getting her into an intake at a facility...not talking about the nightmares we all know about...but talking about some kind of care facility that can work with your daughter 24/7 to get her out of this funk she's in.
