Does anyone else ever really want to connect with other people like you, then second guess it all and think “no one actually cares” or “why’re you even doing this? No one is going to reply to you or care what you’re going through”?
I always struggle with community support groups or getting support in general because there’s always that nagging in the back of my mind saying “why’re you even putting your thoughts out there? No one cares!” And then I end up giving up on trying to make connections of any kind with people on the outside....

I’ve always felt like that and sometimes I feel it on here too so I have to take long breaks from it, I wish I could give you advice but I’m still really struggling with this, I guess the first step is caring enough about ourselves to let others care too, like how we care about them
Yeah I guess you’re right. That’s one thing I struggle with too because I always feel like people will just become disinterested in me after a while or just too busy to be there for me anymore.
I will tell you that this place is unique....but you have to just trust yourself to give it a shot. Many of us self sabotage a good thing because we fear, we fear the unknown, we fear getting hurt. I certainly have done that. I have been on many sites over the years, some were supposed to be support groups, and were not to say the least.
..this is the only one where people are actually kind, no flaming, or judgemental rants, nothing but care and compassion.
I understand how you feel kenzie it can be hard to reach out. I don't know you but I care about you and your well being and I'm here if you'd like to talk.
I agree with your feelings of them being the only people who know what you’re going through... but my thoughts always cause me to think that yes people will gather around initially, but then they will eventually become too busy or just uninterested in general.
