Welcome. Your title shows that you have a sarcastic sense of humor (I have one too). Try to keep that humor.
Exercise is the best thing I can recommend for anxiety and depression. I usually just walk and listen to music and that takes me out of my head.
Make sure to get enough sleep. Studies have shown that a lack of sleep leads to depression.
Do you have any hobbies? When I play guitar or hockey, that also takes me out of myself for a little bit of time. If you can do anything that gets you out of the house and keeps you from isolating yourself would also be good.
If course there is therapy, support groups, and this forum.
If you're a person of faith, that can also be helpful.
thank you! yes i am very sarcastic. i was a competitive varsity distance runner for four years in high school, i am in my second year of college and i try to stay active but lately my anxiety has been so bad to the point where i get dizzy and faint so it’s been difficult to exercise :/ i play ukulele and guitar which sometimes helps but my panic attacks are really bad.
Hey! So I know what you are going through. I was clinically diagnosed as well. It's hard but its not as hard with other people. Just understanding how normal it is becoming is something that I feel brings a sense of peace. You are not alone and you are going to get through this and not only come away from it feeling confident, but you are going to feel like a stronger person.
I agree it helps a lot to understand that you’re not the only one feeling these things. I find that’s comforting
Welcome to this site! This is a great site! You'll find such wonderful ppl here that will help you anyway they can. I will too. I'm available anytime cause I'm not working right now so ask me anything. I spent 40 years severely depressed and suicidal. I know how you feel!! I've tried 12 shock therapies and endless meds. I've been thru 40 years of absolute hell. Even went thru and survived alcoholism and drug addictions. Only got sober 7 years ago on May 15, 2018. Saved my life. So if you have any questions about either addiction, anxiety or depression I'm here for you but only if you want to ok. I also have had agorophobia that's kept me locked in my apt for decades. Crippling anxiety that I'm still fighting to this day! Ugh. So if you want I'm here!
Im new as well. I have suffer with anxiety and have started to take venlafaxine.
