Brain is severely fatigued

Head full of fog.. (I have a cyst) but this is more anxiety related. People just have no common courtesy to keep their germs to themselves and it drives me crazy! Coughing into the air. Touching anything and everything and putting it back on the shelves. And they wonder how viruses spread??? Um hello?? People call me crazy because I hate germs. (Especially flu germs). I kind of think they're icky for not minding their own germs! Now in home practically disinfecting my kids because now my anxiety is high. They come home from school and I make them take off their clothes so I can wash them. I spray their bookbags and shoes. Sometimes wash that too. They look at me like I'm nuts. Am I being rational or is it my anxiety?? Ughhhh

I hope your getting help with your cyst, and I agree with you, and I understand about people coughing and sneezing without covering, it's disgusting....vaping blows my mind....like...WTF....your breathing in and then out into the air...okay... But I found out something interesting....even though I can't stand germs either....we actually have to let our bodies acclimate to them to help fight off bad ones. Yeah....we have good germs in our systems naturally that will help fight off infection...and using too many antibiotics...or antibacterial soap can actually not be a good thing doing it too much. I know it's a kinda compulsive thing, but I was wondering if you do therapy to help calm some of the fear down.

I know I've been told the same. I haven't had therapy since my whole germs issue started. (After I caught the flu). But I tried therapy last year for usual anxiety. I felt as if the therapist was watching her watch more than she was paying attention. So that only lasted 2 visits.. I hear therapy helps if u find a good one... also at times I feel like its everyone else and not me... (I'm sure I'm wrong).

I'm sorry your experience with therapy wasn't so good. I think with anything in life it's trial and error sometimes...it took a few not so good therapists before I found one that helped me. I was very fortunate to have had a couple of good therapists.

Going to therapy doesn't define you, nor do our issues define us. Going to therapy is another way for you to express your deepest questions, thoughts, etc., everybody has something, and if they say they don't...well....they are a walking miracle. There are many who had a great life until something happened and it changed their world. PTSD and OCD, anxiety's that manifest or just get worse after a life changing event.

It is your anxiety. Flu season is almost over. This behavior also may cause emotional problems or phobias in your children later in their life. Also, compulsively trying to eliminate germs does not really help as they cannot be avoided. They are everywhere, but most are not harmful and many are beneficial.

It is more the fear of someone bringing home the flu germs. I've been scared ever since my son and I had it back in January. Its dreadful and it literally feels like death. Then u see the media reports about all the people and children it kills and u can imagine where my mind goes from there.. it's not so much I fear all germs. Its the ones that my mind instantly says"destroy". It's still cold here in Jersey and flu is still widespread. (Yes I pay close attention). I'm hoping as flu season ends so does the EXTRA anxiety . If that makes sense

this year was a particularly tough one. I had the H3N2 and was very very sick for five weeks. Three weeks were critical...I04 fever, uncontrollable cough, and completely bed ridden and could not eat. two weeks with pneumonia. All could have been much lessoned if I had take the anti viral Tamiflu during the onset . I learned my lesson the hard way. If you feel it coming on next time...get the antiviral Tamiflu.

That's the crazy part. I went to the Er when I felt terrible. They said Flu type A and a bit of pneumonia. I took the Tamiflu and still was bed ridden for a while. I still 2 months later have a cough. It destroyed my sinuses. My son has a post nasal drip ever since that we r still fighting to get rid of. We've never had it before this year. I've been completely anxious ever since. My children are vaccinated however I'm hearing it isnt exactly all its cracked up to be.. hopefully next year we dint get It again.. I'm sorry u went through it too. Its absolutely awful

As far as germs go, you might consider taking supplements that build up your immune system. It's your immune system that keeps you alive. I don't want to scare you, but you can clean and spray all day and you'll never get rid of all the viruses and bacteria in your house. All you'll do is wear yourself out, mentally and physically. Go on the "offense" instead, and build up your immune systems. They will handle anything.

Thank you. Viruses and bacteria and what they call "epidemics " wouldn't happen if people minded their own germs. Stay home when sick. Or at least cough into your arm if u must leave the house. It is sad to say dirty people are why such things spread like wild fire. I understand children will forget.. but there is no excuse for adults. I've even witnessed someone shooting bugars out their nostril in public. These people must be raised by monkeys. I wonder if their families throw poop at each other as well

the Japanese people put on a face surgical mask when they are sick and have to go out in public out of courtesy to others...sounds like a plan.

Hi I do think your behaviour is a bit OTT. The only way to avoid catching other peoples germs is to isolate yourself and your family entirely and that is impossible. What do you think would happen if your children or yourself catch a cold from it? Yep - precisely nothing and a common cold would soon pass. I think your anxiety needs some working on.

It's ok saying stay home if you are ill but many like me live alone and I wouldn't be willing to starve to death as there is only me to do my shopping etc.

When I was working staying home when ill would result in dismissal especially if it was for a common cold. We had no choice but to go to work sick or not. x
