I don't use any myself, but you can go to YouTube and search for "breathing exercises for anxiety". You'll find many videos there. Just take your pick.

Hi TexasAngel, I use deep breathing everyday. Because I really got into meditation and deep breathing, it comes to me automatically w/o even thinking. It helps keep both the mind and the body calm. You cannot be anxious if you are deep breathing. The thing is to use the deep breathing often so that you are able to actually stop an anxiety attack before it escalates.

I use meditation/deep breathing before getting out of bed in the morning as well as before going to sleep at night and also an afternoon respite (5-10min relaxation). Doing this allows you to keep your body at an even keel so that when you are in a conference etc, you are not starting at a high level of anxiety and adrenaline.

As jkl5500 stated YouTube has a great selection of audio breathing exercises which I use daily in the afternoon. Some of my favorites are: "Guided Meditation by Michael Seeley Soothing voice

"Sympathetic Breathing Meditation" by Quiet Mind Cafe

And a quick 5 minute "Meditation/with guiding voice" by the Honest Guys

Anything by those 3 speakers are calming and relaxing, easy to listen to. Good Luck xx

Yes. Breathing from the diaphragm helps me. Watch the videos, there is even an app to help. You have to practice it because when you need is not the time to try to figure it out.

Hope it helps

Just deep breathing in 3 times then exhale, try listening to soft music.

BIG NO NO is don't talk to friends and family about what your going through, trust me they don't want to hear it even if they say you can speak to them, they want to fix you. I've been going through this.

I get text lectures on dealing with anxiety, my kids think isolating and ignoring me is a solution. Which makes it Worse. So if you want to save your relationships DONT TALK about it.

That's why a lot of people come to this site to express themselves. Take care

Hi I do use breathing techniques but it has to be belly breaths. But honestly the best thing that works for me is a535 or tiger balm I rub it from behind my ear around the back of my neck to the other ear. It also helps with headaches. Anxiety is no fun I hope this helps you.
