HI sana__leo i saw this bc i just made a post myself, feeling a panic attack coming on. You put this 2 hours ago so hopefully you're better now. I'm currently trying deep breathing and praying. If that doesn't work i will call a crisis help line- I'm sure there is a help line in your area. For me, i need a person to talk to when it gets really bad. Then if that doesn't work, i will have to take my medicine for panic attacks. I use that as a last resort, my Klonopin, bc i don't want to get addicted. So these are my suggestions, bc that's what i do when it happens. how are you feeling right now ? and do you have medicine if nothing else calms you down?

are you in the U.S.? surprised that there's no helpline around there. do you have medicine if it gets to be too much? thank you aaronm for reminding about grounding- i guess i don't think of that one for anxiety, but have used that in past depersonalization episodes. (when i don't feel real) but yes it should help anxiety . hope you feel better

Its called grounding is what I do. Here is a brief description from the internet:

Grounding is a technique that helps keep someone in the present. They help reorient a person to the here-and-now and in reality. Grounding skills can be helpful in managing overhelming feelings or intense anxiety. They help someone to regain their mental focus from an often intensely emotional state. Grounding skills occur within two specific approaches: Sensory Awareness and Cognitive Awareness

I usually try to focus more on sensory awareness, sight, smell, hearing, and touch. Look at 5 things. Touch 5 things. Hear 5 things. Smell 5 things.

Today i am much better actually it tries to come but i am not bothering n telling myself its nothing. There is no fear outside and inside me. It is helping a lot today. Lets see how long i can control myself.

I am glad to hear that you are feeling more in control! What are you doing to make this happen?

Just not over thinking and ignoring the sensations
